Turnout in ballet?

i need help with my turn out in ballet class. help?!?!

What help do you need hun? Your dance teacher should be able to help you though if she's any good

Well you just have to practice basically. Whenever you're doing anything in ballet, just make sure your foot is always turned out. And you can do stuff like that at home. You just have to push yourself to have a good turnout.
Basically "turning out" means to twist your leg in your leg socket so that your feet are sorta pointing to the right and left. You may want to ask your dance teacher what it means she or he could explain it better.
well if your doing tors or fuetes be sure that your knee is facing up at the ceiling.



if its for pirouettes and pikays (cant spell lol) the it should be facing away from your left leg if your doing a right turn in pose or vice versa. but dont just plant your foot on the left leg, because doing turns with your leg turned out and pointing your feet wont allow you to REALLY connect your pose, just dont leave it hanging lol
