I'm Grade Elementary in Ballet, can i teach children ballet class?

one of my friend opening a new dance school for children, it's difficult to find ballet teacher for children age 5-12 years old, so she ask me to teach in her studio, but i'm only grade elementary? can i? what's the risk to teach when you're not a "real" teacher?

the risks are enourmous ......... injuries to students from an inexperienced teacher is the main issue ... these are young bodies you would be preparing for the rigours of dance. Do you now what muscles are used in a demi plie? Can you name them? Can you tell the students how to engage their lower pelvic floor muscles? Do you know the full curriculum? will you be holding exams?

You defiantly could after all it is her Dance School and she can employ whomever she wants.

But some parents/students may not like the idea how your not qualified...

Also how do you know you are teaching students correct posture/technique without having any teaching qualifications.

i wouldn't recomened it, since you havn't had enough training, you may teach them wrong techniques, and then they might get messed up
You can and totally should. Since you are the same age you will make new friends and it would be a blast! They would be your friends so they would give you respect.
